Rhythm & Hues Live Jazz Pop Up

On the eve of Valentine’s Day, Rhythm & Hues returns to Ultra Silk Gallery with an intimate live performance by Untethered Trio, offering an evening designed for deep listening, connection, and shared atmosphere.

Untethered is a collective devoted to what drummer G. Calvin Weston (Ornette Coleman, Vernon Reid, James “Blood” Ulmer) calls “Spontaneous Creative Composition” a performance approach that allows music to unfold organically in real time. On this night, that openness translates into lush grooves, fluid improvisations, and moments of quiet tenderness that invite listeners to slow down and sink in.

Critics have described Untethered’s music as “in constant flux,” gently opening and closing, cooling and warming, allowing tension and release to coexist.
