PARK(ing) Day PHL on Lancaster Ave The Art Lounge + Community Kickback

Park(ing) day is a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people.

On Friday, September 19th from 1 to 5 PM, Ultra Silk Gallery invites you to step outside and join us for a special PARK(ing) Day celebration in West Philadelphia. We’re transforming a simple stretch of sidewalk into an outdoor creative lounge — part neighborhood gathering, part art walk, part kick back.

Picture this: the afternoon sun, jazz, hip hop, and R&B flowing through the air, neighbors and friends relaxing with refreshments in hand, and canvases set up just waiting for your brushstrokes. Whether you paint every day or haven’t touched a brush since childhood, this is a chance to be part of something playful and collective.
