"From the Hands of Ramsess" Opening Reception

There are only a few people who have the ability to tell a story, convey an idea, or cultivate ancient interpretations through visions of personal passion, but these skills manifest themselves in the persona of the artist known as Ramsess. From our past and present he sews a patchwork of innovative memorials in remembrance of honored icons, jazz greats, and events taken from our historical roots. Whether through needle and thread, cut glass, or paint and pencil, Ramsess manipulates color to create imaginative expressions of emotional beauty, design, and heirloom tapestries. Ramsess has participated in regional exhibitions in California including but not limited to, The Skirball Cultural Center, Art and Practice, The Brockman Gallery, The Watts Towers, Sargent Gallery, First African Methodist Episcopal Church and the prestigious Monterey Jazz Festival.
