What if a gallery felt like home?
For Second Friday this March, Ultra Silk Gallery transforms into a curated living space where every object has purpose and presence. Designed to Dwell showcases nine local artists whose work invites you to gather, rest, light a candle, switch on a lamp, pour a glass of wine, and stay awhile.
This is not a show you just look at. It is a space you move through.
Halimah Baghdadi brings decades of craftsmanship into the room with her hand-sewn pillows, rooted in Afrocentric textile traditions and made to soften a sofa, accent a chair, or anchor a bed with warmth and history.
Rod Hampton of Utility Defects introduces sculptural furniture and objects shaped by industrial influence and upcycled materials. His work carries edge and reinvention, adding bold conversation pieces to the modern home.
