"A Journey" Art Exhibition | Opening Reception ft. Terrence L. Gore

Born in the 60s in Philadelphia, Terrence L Gore's creativity is essential to his character.As an African-American he embraced his culture and ingenuity by  applying his skills as an Interior Designer, Gourmet Chef and Fashion Stylist. Later in life, Gore began professional Dance Training at the Philadelphia Dance Company and Gwendolyn Bye Dance Studio.

In 2006, after many years of business success, Gore was diagnosed with PML (Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy) which paralyzed the right side of his body. Instead of allowing his diagnosis to impact his spirit he used it to transform himself through exploration and expression of Fine Art that became therapeutic and healing. Gore is dedicated to using his healing crisis as a platform to educate the community about art therapy. He has developed a workshop series entitled “The Art of Healing”.

“I wanted to continue to have my art known and appreciate it, to make a difference as a disabled artist, to share my journey and help others heal while I am alive. I give credit to my medical practitioners combined with my personal approach to staying on top of my healthy holistic transformation.”

 "A Journey" Art Exhibit Opening Reception featuring works from Terrence L. Gore and  will be held on Second Friday, April 14th, 2023 from 5PM-8PM at Ultra Silk Gallery (3808 Lancaster Avenue Philadelphia PA 19104).  Preview will be available when doors open at 12PM.
